Your Input to the website design

You need to provide :-

  • ideas for the page heading, and any existing logo image
  • proposed breakdown of the site into sections (pages)
  • existing brochures, flyers, adverts etc. if you wish include content from these
  • the draft textual content, and the images, to be included in the web pages ( photographs may be in the form of digital images)
  • preferences for your domain name - based on these, we will try and find the best available name

Prototyping , review and refinement

We build a prototype website, based on the above input, for you to review.
We then refine it based upon your comments. We can vary the style, fonts and colour scheme as well as the content and layout.

Further extensions

After the review you may decide that you wish to include further extensions such as :-

  • details of current offers
  • catalogue of products, services and prices
  • a feedback form
  • links to other websites

We can then discuss these and quote for any extra design/development required. Of course this could also be done at a later date after the initial publication of your website.

Publication of your website

After the revisions have been made there will be a final review and then the website will be published and be accessible via your domain name.
It will also be submitted for inclusion in search engines - although this may take some time.

Do-it-yourself Website Packages

Some hosting companies provide a package including domain name, webspace and a 'site builder' tool. This would allow you, potentially, to maintain your website using a relatively simple browser-based facility. If you would like to consider this option then we could give advice. You would purchase the package and allow us to develop the website initially. Subsequently if you gain confidence, and with appropriate training, you may be able to maintain and update your website independently. The disadvantages are more expensive running costs and inability to easily transfer the site to a different host.
